A Date at the Wheel
Make a little room for romance.
Take a seat at two pottery wheels and enjoy a date with your hands in clay.
During this private session, we’ll guide you both through the first steps of wheel throwing, helping you each shape a small cup or bowl. There’s time for wobbly beginnings, laughter and cheering each other on as your pieces take shape.
You’ll each have your own wheel throughout the session. No experience needed — just bring each other.
Choose your finish
One visit · €150 for two
Choose a glaze for each of your selected pieces and leave them with us. We’ll finish them, let them dry, then take care of the glazing and both firings.
We’ll let you know when your creations are ready to collect.
Two visits · €190 for two
Enjoy your wheel session, then return for a second creative date once your pieces have dried and been through their first firing.
During a decorating visit of up to one hour, paint and glaze your pieces yourselves with our guidance. Add colours, patterns or a little message to remember the day by.
We’ll complete the final glaze firing and let you know when your pieces are ready to collect.
Wheel session: 1.5 hours · Private experience for two
Both options include clay, tools, guided wheel tuition, finishing and both firings for one selected piece per person. The two-visit option also includes decorating materials and guidance during your decorating visit.
Stay a little longer — add tea for two
Tea Tasting · +€30 for two
After your wheel session, settle into our tea space for a guided tasting of two teas. Explore their flavours and aromas, share your impressions and enjoy a little more time together.
Tea Ceremony · +€50 for two
Let your date unfold a little more slowly with a tea ceremony for two. Enjoy several infusions of a selected tea, noticing how its flavour changes as you sip and share the moment.
Tea experiences are optional and charged in addition to your chosen pottery format. Please request your preferred option when arranging your date.
