Mosaic Play Workshop

Small pieces, endless possibilities. Create a small decorative mosaic plate from scratch — shaping your own ceramic details, choosing their colours and bringing them together into a composition that is entirely yours.

Across three visits, explore shapes, textures and colour combinations. Go geometric, follow an organic pattern or fill your plate with little symbols — every detail starts in your hands.

Visits are spaced to allow for drying and firing between stages.

No previous experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to play.

Come and make it

Shape, Colour & Assemble — three visits · 2 h + 2 h + 2 h · €180Visit One — Shape Your Pieces · 2 hours (2 h)Plan your design and cut your mosaic pieces from clay. Play with different shapes and textures, imagining how they will fit together on your plate. We then dry and bisque-fire your pieces in the studio.Visit Two — Add Colour · 2 hours (2 h)Return to glaze your fired ceramic pieces. Choose earthy shades, soft neutrals or colourful contrasts to bring your design to life. We then fire your pieces again, ready for assembly.Visit Three — Bring It Together · 2 hours (2 h)Arrange and glue your ceramic pieces onto a small plate, spending around an hour bringing your composition together. Enjoy a half-hour tea break while the adhesive sets, then spend the final half-hour applying grout and finishing your mosaic.

Included: Clay, glazes, two firings, a plate base, adhesive, grout, tools, guidance and tea during the final session.
